Responsibility:

Maintain and upgrade Sabre Networks and customer owned networks to meet repeater equipment specifications within the KZN region.

NETMON monitoring of all VHF networks in the region/s.

Perform annual service as per company requirements and record keeping thereof.

Build good sound relationships with high site owners.

Adhere to high site health and safety protocols.

Climb masts, structures and towers.

Install antenna brackets, clamps, poles, etc.

Assemble antenna connections on antenna cables.

Program repeaters and base stations.

Generate accurate job cards of all site work and keep records thereof.

Conduct ongoing evaluations of high sites and client control rooms.

Keep technical support manager informed of problems resolved and outstanding.

Assemble and test routers, base stations and other field equipment as and when required.

Diagnose and identify fault trends and advise technical support manager thereof.

Be on 24/7 standby.

Identify faults and signal interference on site.

Perform technical training across all FSK products.

Generate weekly reports reflecting job/training/support activities.

Generate weekly reports on network/radio behaviour.

Generate weekly reports on general network stockholding.

Comply with the provisions of the Directive on Fleet Management: ref DFM09/13 with regards to the utilisation of company pool vehicles.

Must reside in KZN.

Candidate:

Grade 12 or equivalent (N3).

Valid driver’s licence.

N6 (electronics).

A-plus (computers) and N-plus (networks)

Preferably 2 years’ experience in the radio frequency and/or electronics security industry.

Training will be provided.

Computer literate.

Analytical, structured and systematic approach.

Strong logical ability in terms of fault finding.

Customer service focused.

Confident.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Ability to work under pressure.

Flexibility to work overtime.
