Responsibility:

Provide excellent technical service and support to the branch and customers.

Always provide a professional, efficient and effective mechanical and electronic solutions-based support service in the following areas:

• Walk-in counter service.

• Technical support telephonically and on the Internet.

• Callouts if and when required.

Perform daily an exceptional mechanical and electronic repair service relating to all ET Nice product lines.

Ensure repair process times are strictly adhered to (mechanical: 3 days, electronics: ‘while you wait’ for walk-in). In the case of a delay, ensure the customer, branch manager and all other stakeholders are informed prior to the committed completion time.

Capture job cards on Sage, log all repair criteria with regard to site visit sheets and non-conforming product reports, and submit weekly reports to head office to the standard expected using the applicable company software.

Assist customers if and when required with onsite repairs or service.

Assemble and manufacture, to complete or sub-assembly level, Hansa gate operators if and when required for new sales purposes.

Assist with product training if and when required by the branch.

Process and record product return warranties and credits.

Proactively manage and administer the quarantine warehouse.

Instil a culture of upselling the company’s service and support products with the aim of creating an excellent customer experience.

Manage stock effectively and efficiently.

Liaise in a professional manner with customers and within the company.

Ensure effective and efficient housekeeping within the service and support warehouse.

Candidate:

NQF 4 or equivalent qualification (N3-N6) in mechanical or electronics will be an advantage.

2-3 years’ experience in stock management in a service and support department.

3-5 years’ experience in the access automation industry would be an advantage.

Familiarity and full knowledge of all ET NICE products.

Reliable, honest, meticulous, trusting, precise, discreet, conscientious.

Must be willing to learn.

Multi-task oriented.

Ability to work under stress.

Ability to work independently (unsupervised) and assist in other areas, if and when required.

Must be able to work well in a diverse group/team.

Excellent attention to detail.

Must be willing to work overtime, if and when required.

Perform ad-hoc duties within the ambit of the job.
