Responsibility:

• Assessing and conducting electronic repairs on the products for which we are the agents.

• Providing telephonic support to our customers for our products.

• Circuit board replacement and electronic component replacement for SMD.

• Learn and stay up to date with our products in terms of what they are for, how they are used, the common faults experienced, and how to fix them.

• Assess faulty hardware, create a detailed report, and conduct repairs if necessary.

• Answer support phone calls regarding our products. This will entail answering any questions clients may have or helping them and the cause of technical issues. If the cause of technical issues cannot be assessed telephonically, it is advised that the client book the unit into the office for assessment and repair, if possible.

• Maintain an electronic library of all the manuals needed for all our products.

• Maintain the databases for our clients with Accentronix intercoms through the online portal. This includes informing management of any technical issues detected and events such as airtime needing to be loaded.

• Make sure that that all technicians on the road are equipped with the right tools. This includes checking what tools they have, which tools are missing/broken, which tools they need and keeping track of this in an Excel spreadsheet. You will then inform management of what is required so that they may action/buy accordingly. New tools must be signed for on a hardcopy form and noted in the spreadsheet.

Candidate:

• N4 level, equivalent, or higher qualification in electronic engineering.

• The ability to assess and conduct fault finding and electronic repairs. This includes working with surface mounted components.

• The ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• The ability to communicate technical issues effectively and in a friendly manner.

• The discipline to meet deadlines and follow procedures.

• Training will be provided.
