Responsibility:

• Proficient knowledge and experience regarding installation, maintenance, fault-finding and programming of the following:

- Access control – RFID and facial recognition.

- Booms and turnstiles.

- Gate automation.

- Alarm systems.

- Electric fencing.

- IP, analog and ANPR CCTV systems.

- Networking.

- Wireless networking and integration (P2P and P2MP radio links).

Automation/integration of different technologies.

- Networking/programming of CCTV and access control.

- Networking/programming of CCTV and access control.

• Knowledge of electronics and must be able to read technical drawings, including large-scale design solutions.

• Understanding of offsite monitoring and live streaming platforms.

• Manage asset registers and stock control.

• Project management of installations on site – various products.

• Diagnose and fault-find software and hardware-related issues.

• Hardware and preventive maintenance and servicing.

• Network installation and cabling.

• Provide customer support.

• Diagnose technical problems and determine solutions.

• Compilation of service reports.

• Have some experience/willingness to sell systems/services.

Candidate:

• Matric and relevant technical qualification.

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant technical experience operating in the security sector.

• Valid driver’s licence.

• Clear ITC and criminal record.

• PSIRA registered.

• Flexibility and willingness to work until the job is complete.

• Willingness to assist in emergencies and be on standby after-hours and over weekends, as and when required.
