Responsibility:

• Experienced Technician – CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm Systems.

• Planning, scheduling, systems configuration and installation of electronic security systems.

• Assessment of requirements, quotation preparation.

• Ongoing maintenance and fault find on existing systems.

• Supervision of team members ensuring quality installations.

• Manage technical budget and deadlines.

Technical abilities:

• CCTV (VMS, IP, HDCVI, Analogue).

• Access Control, door logic controllers, readers and integration (Biometrics and card).

• Booms and Turnstiles.

• IP Network cabling, termination and configuration.

• Time and Attendance.

• Intruder Alarm Systems.

• Electric Fencing and Beams.

• Gate automation, Intercoms, Steel Works.

• Perimeter Protection.

• Fibre Optic and Data Cabling.

• Switches and Networks.

• Programming.

Candidate:

• Proven experience and training certification required

• Preferably between 30 – 55 years of age.

• Experience in the electronic security industry – preferably 10 years +

• Leadership skills.

• Highly ethical.

• Dependable, reliable and conscientious and motivated.

• Valid Driver’s licence – Code 08 plus

• Healthy and fit for working at heights.

• Preferably PSIRA Registered.

• Clear Criminal Record.

• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and preferably also in Afrikaans.

• Reside on the East Rand.

• Own transport to and from work / O. R. Tambo International.

• Contactable references.

• Stable work record.
