Senior fire sales engineer – Edwards Systems

Responsibility:

Develop new business and service existing customer base for the sale of Edwards Systems’ suite of products.

Timeously follow up on all leads received.

Generate and close self-sourced leads.

Achieve revenue sales target per month as determined by the sales manager.

Consulting engineer and supplier networking.

Turnkey integrated system design and costing.

Daily, weekly and monthly reporting.

Tender formalising and submissions.

Maintain all administrative duties pertaining to sales.

Build long-term relationships with customers to ensure recurring business through frequent communication and follow-ups.

Attention to detail of administration/paperwork, i.e., sales pipeline, order intake tracker, sales cost and margin calculator, etc.

Attend sales meetings.

Should be able to travel if needed.

Follow any reasonable instruction from sales manager.

Candidate:

Extensive knowledge in selling Edwards public address and voice evacuation systems.

Strong technical understanding of system design and interpretation of schematics and drawings

Extensive project knowledge.

Advantage: experience in selling Ziton, Edwards, Lenel OnGuard, Impro, Milestone and Axis systems – supplier sales training confirmation required.

Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Project.

Minimum 6 to 8 years’ sales experience.

Driver’s licence with own reliable vehicle.

Skills and qualities required:

• SAQCC registered for D&GS (fire detection and gas suppression).

• PSIRA registered.

• Edwards fire system design capabilities.

• Selling, presenting and closing of sales deals.

• Be able to work under pressure.

• Self-disciplined. Must be able to work without supervision.

• High levels of honesty and integrity.

• Strong customer focus ethos.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Self-motivated and energetic.

• Presentable.

• Team player.

• Strong organisational and planning skills.

• Good management skills.

• Good communication skills (verbal and written).

• Strong interpersonal skills.
