Responsibility:

Reporting directly to the MD, the candidate will be responsible for the growth of the business in Gauteng and various regions across South Africa as and when required. The range of products/solutions encompasses:

• Security hardware (CCTV, alarms, gate motors, access control, electric fencing).

• Security guards.

• Surveillance/off-site monitoring.

• Distressed property management (turnkey). Duties include:

• Generating own leads through existing networks and cold calling.

• Meeting with prospective clients to understand their needs and demonstrate the company’s value proposition.

• Drawing up technical security plans and specification proposals.

• Site planning and drawing up of scope of works.

• Negotiating pricing and contracts with clients.

• Providing feedback from clients to the MD.

• Reporting on sales activities and performance.

• Understanding and implementing site-specific health and safety regulations in terms of legislation.

Candidate:

• 3-5 years’ relevant experience in the security/installation/surveillance industry.

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a salesperson in a similar environment.

• Reasonable understanding of security-related software and programming.

• Able to work under pressure.

• PSIRA registered.

• Must be very detail orientated.

• Proven track record of previous achievements.

• Existing network of clients in the surveillance/security industry.

• In-depth understanding of sales processes.

• Sound and up-to-date technical knowledge of security products and systems.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

• Committed to providing excellent customer service.

• Prepared to travel when necessary.
